Timothy Green

Data Scientist

Tim joined the Campus in October 2021 as part of the Data Science Graduate Programme and now works on a number of research and mentoring projects within the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) hub team.

He has a background in physics, with a master’s in Mathematics & Physics from Warwick and a PhD in Astrophysics from Durham. Here, his research was focussed on the study of the giant galaxies at the centre of galaxy clusters.

From 2017 to 2021, he lived in and travelled much of Bangladesh, where he worked on a project introducing the teaching of coding into public libraries with British Council Bangladesh. He has also briefly worked in a data science role in a Legal Tech start-up, utilising Natural Language Processing to extract data insights from legal case documents.

His outside interests include photography, cooking and literature.
