Sebastian joined the Data Science Campus in October 2019 for a 12-month posting on the Government Statistical Service Fast Stream programme. His role involves demonstrating the impact of the Campus within government and globally, as well as supporting financial planning and building partnerships.

Sebastian has a Masters in Biological Science from the University of Sheffield, where his studies focused on population and community ecology, and evolutionary biology. He worked on a mathematical model to study the internal interactions that followed simultaneous exposure to disease and pesticides in insects. Between university and starting at the Campus he worked in computer sales and repair for a small independent chain. Outside of work Sebastian’s interests are in technology, science communication, and film.
