Senior Data Scientist

Niovi joined the Levelling Up squad in April 2022 as a senior data scientist. Before joining the Campus, she worked as a statistician/data scientist for the Care Quality Commission and as a research associate for the Transport Strategy Centre, Imperial College London.

Niovi has a background in mathematics and has a PhD from Imperial College London. For her PhD thesis, she developed econometric models to understand the link between urban form and public transport usage. She has experience in various methodologies, including supervised and unsupervised machine learning, NLP, econometric modelling, and causal inference.

Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her daughters and taking care of her allotment.
