Trainee Data Scientist

I graduated with a Master’s degree in mathematics (MMath) from the University of Hull in 2019. Aiming for a career in data science, I focused my thesis on Bayesian statistics, which included Markov Chain Monte Carlo sampling algorithms and Naïve Bayes classification.

I secured an ONS contractor role as a data scientist with Emerging Platforms, where I was the lead developer in producing a data pipeline for the Financial Assets and Liabilities Survey Team, before being transferred to the Data Science Campus!

My hobbies include building custom, liquid-cooled desktop computers and snowboarding at Mount Washington, Canada when I’m able to visit family in the winter.
