Lanthao Benedikt
Senior Data Scientist
Lanthao Benedikt is a Senior Data Scientist at ONS Data Science Campus with experience working on both structured data (e.g. surveys, administrative data) and unstructured data (e.g. radio signals, chaotic signals, wireless mesh networks, graphs, 2D and 3D images and video data, social media data, web-scraped data). She has extensive knowledge of statistical modeling, pattern analysis and machine intelligence, blind source separation techniques, and hands-on academic research experience with many international publications and book chapters.
Lan has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and an MSc in Computing from Cardiff University, UK. She is also a chartered engineer with an MEng in Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Telecommunication from the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble, France. Her work experience includes over 7 years as an Application Engineer in the Wireless Communication Division of STMicroelectronics in France and 7 years working as a Research Officer and then a Senior Research Officer at ONS.
