Senior Data Scientist

Chaitanya Joshi is a senior data scientist at the Data Science Campus at ONS. Chaitanya (conveniently called Joshi) is trained as a theoretical quantum physicist obtaining a PhD in theoretical quantum physics from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. Prior to joining the Campus, Joshi had been a research fellow in Cardiff, York and St Andrews. Joshi’s research interests include, Deep learning, Natural language processing, Markov models, Predictive analysis and applications of quantum physics in Data Science. Since joining the campus, Joshi has applied a range of advanced statistical, machine learning and deep learning techniques on different projects. Outside normal working hours, Joshi enjoys cooking, running and working for charitable causes.
