Alex previously worked as a senior research fellow at Cardiff University and as a consultant in industrial control and automation. Alex received his PhD in engineering from Cardiff University in the area of Robotics and Machine Vision. His current interests include application of machine learning for extracting new insights from available data, harnessing the power of distributed computation for transforming big data into smart data with focus on open source tools and exploring new methods for data discovery and analysis. Alex is generally interested in all things deep learning and seeks to apply these frontier technologies for solving real world problems.
