Head of Data Science Capability
Alison is an Academic Manager at the Data Science Campus. As a HR and Learning and Development professional Alison has over 20 years’ experience working in the public and private sector as well as a period of running her own training business.
Alison has led on a broad range of Learning and Development and talent strategies, including the delivery of leadership and management programmes at all levels within organisations, specializing in senior leadership development. For the past five years, Alison’s focus has been on the delivery of emerging talent schemes, such as apprenticeship and graduate schemes across many professions. She has been instrumental in the introduction of the data analytic apprenticeships within the Data Science Campus and the Office for National Statistics. Alison recently led a Trailblazer Group in England with 50 public and private sector organizations, 20 universities and Welsh Government to define the role profile, knowledge, skills and behaviours of a data scientist.

Innovative Data Science Degree Apprenticeship for Wales launches
Following the graduation of our first data analyst level 4 apprentices, we launched the first Data Science Degree Apprenticeship in Wales, with the first round of applications now complete.
