Ali joined the Campus in December 2019 after working for several years in the private sector as a geospatial professional. He is an experienced Python programmer, having developed geospatial tools, automatic workflows, and libraries tailored for Earth Observation and GIS analyses. He is interested in the intersection between Data Science, Machine Learning and Earth Observation, particularly with an environmental focus.

Ali holds a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Remote Sensing & Planetary Science. Away from work he enjoys hiking.
