Data Analytics Apprentice

Jacob applied for the Data analytics apprenticeship while still studying a computer science degree at university and after switching found the process of learning while working to be more beneficial compared to traditional university lectures. He previously attended college where he completed a diploma in I.C.T. After joining the campus, he first worked on a project analysing shipping data from UK ports. He initially created a program to help visualise these ports and their boundaries. He then moved on to help complete some of the analysis on the data, proceeding to re-run certain analysis on a yearlong cut of the data. He is now moving on to help with some corporate analytics and aiding in the visualising and analysis of the people survey results in R.
